The annual general meeting of Piste is held on Friday 21.11.2008 at 18.00 at KY’s pieni puoli. During the evening Piste’s last year’s activities will be shortly presented, the new board for 2008 will be elected and after that the new Piste board members will be celebrated with Christmas themed snacks and refreshments, and the party will continue to a nearby bar.
Welcome all newer and older BT and ISM students! There’s no registration for this meeting, just show up and make a difference! Before the actual board meeting you are also welcome to our next meeting at KY’s pieni puoli on the 18.11. at 17:00.

Hello there!
Piste did it again! Following a great success of Piste Networking evening, the recent Song Evening was also very, very much liked. The revered toastmaster Jorma Kaista held our spirits high, and all of us held our spirit glasses high.
Ernst & Young, an esteemed, global professional services firm kindly sent their representatives, and judging by E&Y employees, the company truly is one of the best places to work.
Also, we had an honor to see the great Magician… err… Mathematician, honored professor Pekka Korhonen perform a truly wondrous magic trick! How he did it - well, nobody knew.
After the dinner was eaten, the night continued with more singing. Then the sauna was already waiting, and many continued the night.

Piste is arranging a song evening with free food and drinks at KY’s yläkertsi on Friday 17.10.2008 starting at 18:00. The event was a huge success last year, and is held in co-operation with Ernst & Young, whose young specialists will be present to talk to us about career opportunities.
Last year’s event was extremely popular - so don’t hesitate! Come and get acquainted with future colleagues and potential future employers, come hear about employment trends among BT-students, come meet the department’s employees outside the classroom and hear the latest news in the industry. Come and spend a fun evening networking, singing, eating and drinking in great company! The legendary afterparty will be held at the KY sauna.

Piste welcomes all to an excursion to Oracle on Thursday 25.9. from 16:45 onwards. The event is aimed for BT, ISM and logistics students, and it is a great opportunity to see what career opportunities Oracle offers and to meet other students. The event is held at Oracle House, address Gräsantörmä 2, Espoo. The excursion is held in Finnish.
The excursion also serves as a pre-party for the Rowing-race kuntis, and there should be some refreshment and snack buffet. We’ll also learn about Oracle, as there is an interesting business case. Dresscode for the event is casual.
The number of students is limited, so please enroll for the event ASAP, to piste@kyweb.fi. Please inform us about your year of studies and the possible major. Enroll before 16.9.

We extend the warmest thanks to all who attended the Business Technology evening. The presentations were outstanding and gave students better understanding of the fantastic career opportunities the BT-studies offer. The food was delicious and the punch refreshing.
Special thanks goes to company representatives from Nokia, Xtract and Accenture as well as the numerous faculty members, who stayed after the presentations to answer questions about the BT.
We hope that students now have better understanding of the Business Technology studies and superb career opportunities, and we engourage all students to choose the major they feel is right for them. Numerous students told us that BT will be their choise. We engourage all students who were elsewhere at the time and interested about BT to ask questions at piste(at)kyweb.fi. Piste members will answer them and if unable to do so, will direct you to faculty members who can.

Tule kuuntelemaan, minkälaisia mahdollisuuksia Itella tarjoaa logistiikasta kiinnostuneille opiskelijoille. Tarjolla myös maittavaa pikkupurtavaa. Lähdemme porukalla koulun ala-aulasta 14:50, mutta paikalle voi tulla myös omatoimisesti.
